no battery power also means no heat and no water pump. I wouldn't consider electric heating blankets or similar sufficiently reliable for an external installation if they're driven from the same batteries you need to keep warm. I wouldn't personally mount any LiFePo4 batteries externally unless I wasn't ever going to use the van in temps below their charge/discharge thresholds. There's also a discussion about moving to Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) batteries which are suitable to -40C, 2800 charge cycles (at 50% depth of discharge), made in Canada ($500) - better than Lead-Acid / standard AGM batteries (500-1000 cycles) $1538 - "ED" fits in the standard group 27 battery dimensions.$989 (sale 899) - can be discharged down to -20 F ("avoid charging below 32 F").3,500 charge cycles, "limited lifetime" warranty.$1399 - two-pack (MSRP $999) on sale through. There's also the Enjoy bot 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery from Aliexpress ($360, no reviews ).$375 - According to the Amazon reviews, AT disabled their cold temperature cutoff to allow for cold temperature discharge, but doesn't prevent cold temperature charging which can damage your batteries. can't find details on warranty (maybe 5 years).$899 - Self-Heating Function, rated at 4000 charge cycles.$850 (sale 722) - rated at 4000 charge cycles.I haven't found any quality reviews of these batteries or any information about duty cycle.$965 - Low-Temp (LT) model allows battery to be charged at temperatures down to -5 F.
